Quantum Theory and the Illusion of Time Explained
Thoughts?
Modern physics suggests that time may not flow the way we experience it in daily life. Some interpretations of relativity and quantum theory describe a “block universe,” where past, present, and future all exist at once inside a four dimensional spacetime. In this view, events are not unfolding step by step. Instead, every moment is already part of the universe’s structure, and what we call change is simply moving to different positions along the time dimension.
From this perspective, the feeling of a constantly moving “now” may come from the human mind rather than the universe itself. The brain blends memories of what has already happened with predictions about what might come next, creating the sensation that time is flowing forward. Physics hints that reality may be timeless, while our awareness turns it into a story with a beginning, middle, and future.
How does this idea of a ‘block universe’ sit with you? Is our sense of time a product of our minds?
