Spider-Man: Brand New Day | Jackie Chan Stunt Team News
Jackie Chan’s stunt team just took over Spider-Man. This is going to be insane.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton brought the legendary Jackie Chan Stunt Team onto Spider-Man: Brand New Day after working with them on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The same crew that choreographed the iconic bus fight sequence in Shang-Chi is now handling all the action for Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man film.
Jackie Chan himself visited the London set in August 2025 to watch rehearsals. “My Jackie Chan Stunt Team was busy filming Spider-Man, and I was the action director for the Jackie Chan Stunt Team,” Chan said in an interview with Hong Kong outlet HK01. The director was reportedly thrilled when Chan showed up.
Main stunt coordinator Peng Zhang, who also worked on Shang-Chi, is leading the team. With Chan’s crew known for blending acrobatic martial arts with creative environmental combat (using everything from ladders to fridges as weapons), Spider-Man’s fighting style is getting a serious upgrade.
Filming wrapped in December 2025. The cast includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal as Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Sadie Sink, and Michael Mando returning as Scorpion.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters July 31, 2026.
